C&G Concrete Pumping Ltd took delivery of a compact
KCP19Z boom pump, the second of this model in the UK market.

“It’s a nice pump, easy to operate, with none of the stuff that is likely to go wrong” said Paul Johnson of C&G Concrete. “It’s owner and operator friendly, and some parts are universal with other brands of pump so we didn’t need to get a whole new shelf of parts stocked for this machine.”

The KCP19Z has an output of 70m³ per hour, a reach of almost 20 meters, and can fit on small job sites and works well in combination with a drum or volumetric concrete mixer.

Paul said “We use this KCP to fit nicely between our line pump and 20 metre boom. Even with the impact of coronavirus, this pump has been out every day, with a new operator who loves the pump. After training it’s so easy to use that he doesn’t phone us during a job to ask how anything works.”

It didn’t take C&G long to test this versatile pump out on a range of job sites, pairing it with volumetric and readymix concrete mixers to deliver concrete over and inside buildings.

“One feature I really like is the ability to engage the secondary hydraulics to drive the main pump – it gets you home if there’s a problem.”

Based in the North-West, KC3 Concrete Equipment have UK-based parts and mobile support. Paul said: “Graham has been great, he has been on the case and sorted everything.”
