Long-standing KC3 customer Concrete Solutions, based in Accrington, has taken delivery of a brand new KC3 2.0 volumetric concrete mixer, further strengthening their fleet as the business continues to grow.
The mixer has been installed on a new DAF XF 450 chassis, with the body mounted by Fruehauf in Grantham and the vehicle supplied by MV Commercial Ltd.
The KC3 2.0 model incorporates a number of improvements designed to enhance performance, reliability and operator control. A newly upgraded PLC control system provides both automated and manual modes of operation, allowing for accurate batching and improved ease of use for operators.
The system also enables remote diagnostic access for KC3 technical staff, allowing rapid troubleshooting and support without the need for an engineer to travel to site. This helps reduce downtime and operating costs for customers.
Additional upgrades include a faster hydraulic system and wireless remote control, giving operators greater flexibility and efficiency during operation.
On the day of delivery, the mixer was fully calibrated in the morning, with operator training carried out in the yard, ensuring the team was familiar with the system and ready to begin production. The vehicle was then ready to start customer deliveries that same afternoon — exactly as it should be.
Concrete Solutions has been a customer since the company was established in 2015, operating two Nurock mixers alongside other brands within their fleet.
